SEE MONSTER arrives

450-tonne former North Sea Platform completes it voyage from the Netherlands

At around 4am on Wednesday 13th July, See Monster arrived on the shore of Weston-super-Mare following almost a week at sea from the Netherlands.

Those lucky enough to catch a glimpse over the course of the day will have seen a delicate and sophisticated operation to bring the platform ashore and be prepared to be installed at the Tropicana.

The next six weeks will see the project transformed into a major public art and science installation and visitor attraction of a kind that has never been seen before. Ticket information will be released shortly and keep checking the SEE MONSTER site for info. The project is being supported by a programme of activity across the town through Culture Weston.

In the meantime enjoy the spectacle of seeing it coming together on site and visit the Bay Cafe with its new range of locally sourced food and drink.
