Weston Train Station
A historic station, close to the seaside
With easy access to the beach, Weston train station is only 10 minutes walk away from the seafront. The station connects to hubs in the South-West and Wales including Bristol Temple Meads and Cardiff Central.
It’s worth a visit to this historic station, originally designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel. You’ll find a replica of the first locomotive ever to run on the Great Western Railway, the North Star. Interestingly, the very first trains arrived here in 1841, and these early trains were carriages pulled by horses. Steam trains arrived on the scene in 1851.
The station as we know it know was opened over a century ago in 1914.
