Picturesque walks for nature lovers. Weston Woods is a large woodland space covering the western half of Worlebury Hill ridge with open access for the public. The area protected as a Centenary Field covers nearly ten hectares close to Cliff Road to the west of the space.
Explore Weston Woods for beautiful views over Weston, and an expedition to an ancient fort.
Also known as Worlebury Woods, the woods span 130 hectares and dominate the northern skyline of Weston-super-Mare. You can walk from the seafront to Sand Bay and Kewstoke along clearly signposted paths.
The woodland is a paradise for birdwatchers, nature lovers and those who enjoy the Great Outdoors. There’s a bounty of flora, fauna and insects and you’ll hear a chorus of birdsong throughout your walk.
For family adventures, you’ll find a playground and a picnic area en-route, with the piece-de-resistance being the Iron Age Worlebury hillfort at the western tip of the woodland.
